There are plenty of computer and internet resources available now that deal with translation issues. Some are new, while some others have been around for a while. In this section we describe them.
There is an on-line terminological resource, a placenames database, as well as several on-line dictionaries. The Ó Dónaill dictionary is available as a computer application, while Dineen’s is available on the internet.
Recently, Irish was added to the list of languages that can be translated by computer. The link is provided.
There is a translation help-line too, directed at translators.
Some things, however, are still missing, but we do hope to see these before long.
If you want to learn Irish on-line, there are several sites that might be of interest to you. There is further information about courses at the following link: Irish On-line Courses.
